UCS Families,
As you may know, we have faced ongoing challenges this year with a shortage of qualified bus drivers. Recently, this issue has worsened, and we now regularly have a bus route without a driver.
We have already reorganized and modified routes as much as possible. Due to limited transportation staff, we will now rotate which routes do not have bus service on specific days. This means that about once every two weeks, a given route will be canceled for the entire day. Each Thursday, we will announce the affected routes for the following week.
For the week of November 10-14, the following schedule will be used.
November 10th: Bus #5 – No service (AM and PM)
November 11th: Bus #23 – No service (AM and PM)
November 12th: Bus #18 – 2.5 hour AM delay; PM service on time
November 13th: Bus #9 – 2.5 hour AM delay; PM service on time
November 14th: Bus #4 – No service (AM and PM)
Students on these affected routes will not be considered absent when there is no bus service. We appreciate your help in getting students to school on these days and thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
