This message is for families with students participating in morning lifting sessions (5:55–7:00 AM).
We have been very encouraged by the strong turnout for lifting and appreciate your support of our students’ commitment to improvement. To help keep traffic flowing safely and avoid congestion during the morning arrival window, we ask for your cooperation with the following pick-up procedures:
Please do not wait or park at the top of the hill by the drive going down to the weight room, or along the bus loop/center peninsula, as these areas can become congested during morning drop-off.
Parents may form a single-file pick-up line along the front of the Castle/Moss area, following staff direction.
Parents may also park in the Moss parking lot and have students walk to their vehicle.
Once the snow starts to melt, families may utilize the parking spots at the top of the hill in front of the Castle building.
These procedures will help ensure student safety and allow for a smooth transition into the school day for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support and flexibility as we work to make morning lifting a positive experience for all.

Good afternoon UHS students and families! I wanted to let everyone know that when we return from our Thanksgiving break, some students will be taking Fall End of Course retake State tests. We will be operating on a normal schedule during this week. I reached out to all students on Wednesday, November 26 through email to let them know that they would be taking at least 1 test. The reason they would need to re-test could be that they have not received a score of a 684 or higher on both the Algebra and English Language Arts test, AND/OR if they have not received a proficient score of a 700 on Biology, American History, Government, or Geometry. These tests are critical to pass as they are 1 part of the 3 step process to graduate in the state of Ohio. These tests will only affect sophomore, junior, and senior students that I emailed. FIRST YEAR FRESHMEN WILL NOT BE TESTED DURING THIS TIME FRAME. I encourage you or your student to reach out to me through Thrilshare, email, or phone to see what test they are scheduled to take. The testing schedule for the week of December 1 will go as follows:
Algebra and Geometry - December 1
English Language Arts - December 2
Biology - December 3
American History - December 4
Government - December 5.
If students are absent, they will complete their test on a makeup date starting December 8. Students need to remember to charge their chromebooks each night as all testing will be completed online. If you have any questions, please call the main office at 653-1412. Thanks, Go Climbers, and have an amazing Thanksgiving Holiday!
