Good afternoon UHS students and families: Just a reminder, if you are interested in taking College Credit Plus courses next year, a CCP Informational session must be attended by both the student and parent/guardian. We will host two informational sessions this year: Wednesday, December 10th and Wednesday January 21st, both at 7:00 in the UHS cafeteria. Please be aware that you need to attend this even if the only CCP courses you intend to take are here in our building. This is an annual requirement so you need to attend even if you have done this in previous years. Completing this information does not commit you to anything, but per ODE rules, you cannot participate if you do not complete these steps. Please contact Mrs. Leonard if you have any questions at 653-1425

I hope to see all interested community members and parents to stop by and see all the amazing work that our students completed thus far this school year! If you have any questions, please feel free to message me on here or call the main office at 653-1412. Thanks and enjoy your day! Go Climbers!

Good afternoon UHS students and families! I wanted to let everyone know that when we return from our Thanksgiving break, some students will be taking Fall End of Course retake State tests. We will be operating on a normal schedule during this week. I reached out to all students on Wednesday, November 26 through email to let them know that they would be taking at least 1 test. The reason they would need to re-test could be that they have not received a score of a 684 or higher on both the Algebra and English Language Arts test, AND/OR if they have not received a proficient score of a 700 on Biology, American History, Government, or Geometry. These tests are critical to pass as they are 1 part of the 3 step process to graduate in the state of Ohio. These tests will only affect sophomore, junior, and senior students that I emailed. FIRST YEAR FRESHMEN WILL NOT BE TESTED DURING THIS TIME FRAME. I encourage you or your student to reach out to me through Thrilshare, email, or phone to see what test they are scheduled to take. The testing schedule for the week of December 1 will go as follows:
Algebra and Geometry - December 1
English Language Arts - December 2
Biology - December 3
American History - December 4
Government - December 5.
If students are absent, they will complete their test on a makeup date starting December 8. Students need to remember to charge their chromebooks each night as all testing will be completed online. If you have any questions, please call the main office at 653-1412. Thanks, Go Climbers, and have an amazing Thanksgiving Holiday!

Good morning! This is a reminder about 2nd Quarter Parent-teacher conferences tomorrow, November 18 from 3:00 – 6:30pm here at Urbana High School. With this being the last date of conferences before the end of the semester, it is imperative you check your students grades and progress towards 1st semester credit. Research indicates that strong partnerships between schools and parents lead to increases in student achievement. We encourage you to join us at parent-teacher conferences to discuss your child’s progress and plan for improvement if needed. Please call the counseling office at 653-1424 to schedule a conference. Thanks and have a great day!

Good afternoon! The UHS PBIS team is currently accepting donations for the Caring Kitchen’s Thanksgiving meal. They are hoping to receive canned cranberry sauce, canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, chicken broth, aluminum foil and gallon sized Ziploc bags. Large cans will be counted as 2 or 3. Donations will be collected during homeroom until Friday, November 21st. And, if helping out the community isn’t enough, the homeroom that brings in the most donations will receive free donuts! Thanks and Go Climbers!
